The International Institute has administrative control over two meeting rooms, 336 and 206 Ingraham Hall.
Room 206 is the largest room with eight tables. It seats 28 people comfortably in the hollow square arrangement. There are 6 stuffed chairs and 46 stacking chairs lining the walls. The tables in 206 have folding legs and can be removed for larger audiences-up to 75 people can be seated comfortably in a theater lecture style, a slide projector, an overhead projector, a screen, a white board, and a podium with microphone. Derek Tessmann has a laptop computer and the software necessary to project PowerPoint presentations. Contact him directly at 2-9895, or via email at dgtessma@bascom.wisc.edu. The room is hardwired to allow access to the worldwide web.
Room 336 is designed for meetings. It has room to seat 14 people comfortably around its four tables. The walls are lined with chairs and loveseats and additional folding chairs for larger audiences. Plan to limit audiences to 36 or fewer for comfortable seating. This room is not hardwired, and has no equipment of its own, but various items can be borrowed from 206 if no one else is using them. This is the room that is most often used for Institute receptions. Both the conference rooms have network access.
Should you need AV equipment other than that available within the Institute, contact Learning Support Services in 275 Van Hise Hall: 262-1678.
To reserve either 206 or 336 Ingraham Hall, contact the Institute administrator, preferably by email at oasis@bascom.wisc.edu. However, you may also call when time and/or situation requires it at 262-2851. In case of administrator’s absence, contact Cheryl Woodards at 262-5804, cemery@facstaff.wisc.edu.
The use of these rooms is reserved for official functions of IS or International Institute. We strive to maintain both rooms in a clean, attractive and consistent set-up for your comfort and convenience. If you change the configuration of the room please return it to its original setup and condition at the end of the meeting. Make sure to return borrowed chairs and equipment and take leftover materials with you. Clean up spills and replace the chairs.
